When patients come to the operating room at Montgomery Regional Hospital they can trust the nurses are at the top of their game when it comes to quality care and safety. It was no small feat, when team “Hokie Nation” (comprised of four MRH OR nurses) won the national QuizBowl championship at the Association of PeriOperative Registered Nurses or AORN annual convention this past March in Denver, Colorado.

LewisGale Regional Health System Going Public with ER Wait Times

Patients visiting the emergency room at any of the four regional HCA Virginia hospitals (Lewis-Gale Medical Center, Alleghany Regional Hospital, Montgomery Regional Hospital, and Pulaski Community Hospital) no longer need to guess how long they'll wait before receiving care. Now they can find out in advance, thanks to a new program that publicizes each hospital�s average wait times via text messaging, electronic banner ads and the Internet.
