HCA Virginia Hospitals Are Taking the Guesswork out of Wait Times for Emergency Room Patients: Posting Average Times Online and by Phone!

Patients visiting the emergency room at HCA Southwest Virginia hospitals (Montgomery Regional Hospital, Lewis-Gale Medical Center, Alleghany Regional Hospital and Pulaski Community Hospital) no longer need to guess how long they’ll wait before receiving care.  Now they can find out in advance, thanks to a new program that publicizes each hospital’s average wait times via text messaging (text "ER" to 23000) and the Internet! Genetic Testing & Counseling - New Service at Regional HCA Virginia Hospitals
HCA Virginia Health System has announced the opening of its new Department of Clinical Genetics which will offer genetic counseling for patients. Kara Bui, a Certified Genetic Counselor, will head up the new department providing genetic testing and counseling for a variety of cancers including breast, colon, ovarian, uterine, pancreatic and melanoma.
